My Bio

I am a single, 79year old mother of 6, grandmother of 16, also great grandmother of 17. They keep me busy. LOL. I enjoy being with my family, photography, painting with oil and acrylics, sewing and traveling. I was born in Chicago, lived in W. VA. for a few months and moved, with my family, to Phoenix, AZ. in 1947. I was married in 1955 and in 1957 my husband, who was in the AF, was transferred to Fairchild AFB, in Spokane, WA. From there, we went to Larson AFB, also in WA., then to Guam, back to AZ., and last, but not least, Holloman AFB. N.M. Since my husband was from Wenatchee, WA., we decided to retire here. I've tried moving away, but since all my kids and grandkids are here, I just keep coming back, even though I would prefer a warmer climate. I can be found on facebook. Link is listed in info. .

Devious Journal Entry

Wow, it's been a long time since my last journal entry.   The twins I told about in my last journal are now 3 yrs. old.  I still go to their house almost every day to help my daughter, Janet with them, because they are really a handful.  It keeps me from becoming a couch potato, though.  It's been a busy three years, and I am thankful that at my age I am still able to be of some help.  I can't stand on my legs for too long at one time, but I don't have to, so it works good.  It hasn't given me a lot of time to be here, though.  I still take a lot of pictures, but I either don't get them posted at all or they go on facebook.  Mostly pictures o

Devious Journal Entry

Last time I wrote an entry, I said that my daughter was pregnant with twins.  At that time we didn't know whether they were boys or girls.  They were girls, born November 17.  They are fraternal twins, so are not identical.  Since they were born, I have gone to their house every weekday morning to help Janet take care of them, get shopping done and many other things.

Devious Journal Entry

Well, here I am with a broken knee cap.  Now I can't complain about not having time to post pictures.  However, I can't get out to take any, so I have to search my albums.  Being stuck in a wheel chair or having to use a walker is not a fun thing.  Oh, well.  I might as well enjoy what time I have here, because I am going to be the grandma to two more babies in Nov.  My daughter, Janetmae, who used to be on here, is going to have twins.  Don't know what they are yet.  We will find out in a couple more weeks.  Then I for sure won't have a lot of extra time. :D
